🚀 We have developed a new engineering tool for Mecanum wheel applications. After many years of working on Mecanum and Omni wheel systems for AGV, AMR and industrial transfer vehicles, we created the EX’M Mecanum Wheel Service Factor Calculator. This tool helps users make a preliminary evaluation based on key operational conditions such as:
• Daily operating time
• Motion profile
• Floor condition
• Load distribution
• Environmental factors
• Roller wear influence
• Application severity
The calculator provides an estimated Service Factor, a wear index, and a professional PDF report for early-stage technical assessment. Of course, this is not a replacement for detailed engineering analysis, but it can be a useful first step to understand how demanding an application may be before selecting or designing a Mecanum wheel system.
This project combines academic research, field experience and practical engineering knowledge from real industrial applications. I will continue improving the tool step by step and would be happy to receive feedback from engineers, AGV/AMR manufacturers and automation professionals.
